Wonderful vintage Hawaiian puka shell necklace. C. 1970s.  The necklace has 100% natural puka shells that are well matched and all In the 5.5 mm range in diameter. (Measured with caliper) It is on original cable beading line and has original silver tone barrel clasp.

These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are bleached white by the sun. They need to be cleaned with a soft brush. I have learned that collectors like them as found, so I have left them as such. 

Necklace is 24" long, which is a hard to find length. Weight: 26 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
